How Pop Open Cards Work.

We are told the Word of God is powerful. 

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 

“You have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.”
2 Timothy 3:15,16 

Jesus told us The Holy Spirit will teach us the truth from God. He uses God’s Word.

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
John 14:16,17 

 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
John 16:13-15 

Paul says we need to put on the armor of God to fight the enemy. Part of the armor is the sword of the Spirit. (See Ephesians 6)
As we already read the sword is the Word of God. 

All these verses suggest how important it is to get people introduced to the Word of God so the Holy Spirit can do His work on people’s hearts and minds. 

Pop Open Cards are fun and colorful and filled with God’s promises.
They are intriguing because you have to “pop them open” to find what is inside.

Since the person giving the card doesn’t know what is inside and the person who receives the card doesn’t either, the message revealed comes across as a hidden treasure from God exactly what the person who opens the card needs to hear. The Holy Spirit does His work on the person receiving the card. 

We’ve seen people clutch the card to their heart saying this is exactly what they needed. 
Others cry when they read God’s promise.

So often the door is opened for more talk about God and His promises for anyone who will receive His Word.

Giving away Pop Open Cards is fun, exciting, and an amazing way to partner with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit sets up divine appointments and invites the cardholder to give them away to the right person at the right time.

Our History.

When Set Free Christian Fellowship started in 1997 we had pop-open promise cards that we used for services and ministry with people in the community. Over the years we gave out 5-10,000 a year! Many of our people bought them regularly to use in their personal ministry to people they met. Some gave them to bank clerks, gas station attendants, waitresses, hairstylists, post office clerks, and mailmen. Others used them for family and friends. Some used them at school and work. Some put them in Christmas cards, birthday cards, and gifts.

About 2010 the company that made the pop-open cards stopped making them. During that time we have been thinking of ways to produce the cards ourselves, but always came up short of being able to make them…until now!

Set Free has partnered with a local printing company to make all new pop-open encouragement cards that are available now. You will recognize the familiar look and feel of the cards. Each has a beautiful picture or graphic on the cover and encouragement inside from the Word of God. These cards will be a great asset to your daily witnessing and blessing of others.
